Benefits provided by ISO 9001 standard:
It is an undeniable fact that the world's resources, which lessen gradually, are not endless, and that activities of the entities do not stay locally, yet, become global. ISO 14001 standard, aiming to encourage usage of advanced technologies that do not destroy the environment and resources, to attain sustainable development goals, to increase awareness and sensitivity of the consumers in this direction, to evaluate the environmental effects of products in their life circle, and to eliminate harmful products, has the following benefits for the companies:
ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System has been established by the transformation and improvement of the HACCP applications to a management system, and by harmonization with ISO 9001:2008 Standard.
ISO 22000 has brought an international approach to Food Safety. This standard, accepted worldwide, is applied to the places where the production and sale activities of food and food contact materials take place. These places can be grouped as follows:
Minimizing the yield loss by using preventive methods instead of corrective methods Extending the shelf life of the product as it achieves and maintains the necessary environmental and product hygiene Reducing the risk of faulty production as it aims at the critical process phases Ensuring reliable production in terms of human health by eliminating or reducing the hazards and risks that may arise in the end product to acceptable levels Ensuring the awareness and participation of the employees Systematizing the production Simplifying the product tracking as it requires recording of the process of each phase from raw material purchase to the sales of end products. Complying with legal regulations as it meets the necessary structural terms of Turkish Food Codex and HACCP applications.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), created for the producers of food, food contact materials and food additives, is an indicator of compliance to official regulations.
This worldwide-accepted standard focuses on the proper use of food, food contact materials, as well as food additives, veterinary medical products, undesirable substances, heavy metals and poisons.
Benefits provided by GMP:
It establishes the first step of HACCP Food Safety System as it arranges the infrastructure and work environment of the product to be manufactured. It ensures positive results from official audits (Production Permit, Work Permit and Food Registry) as it consists the entire minimum requirements necessary to gain official permissions.
Benefits provided by IMS:
Implementation phases of EN 16001 system:
Developed as a direct result of a partnership between ISO and the international oil and gas industry (led by the American Petroleum Institute - API), ISO 29001 specifically focuses on the oil and gas supply chain.
The ISO/TS 29001 standard is based on ISO 9001 and incorporates supplementary requirements emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste from service providers. These requirements have been developed separately to ensure that they are clear and auditable. They also provide global consistency and improved assurance in the supply quality of goods and services from providers. This is particularly important when the failure of goods or services have severe ramifications for the companies and industries involved.
This standard is for all organizations working within the oil and gas industry supply chain. Certification to ISO/TS 29001 ensures standardization and improvement within the sector.

Welding is the key feature very commonly used in the production of many industrial goods such as bridges, cranes and pressure vessels. It is a standard for manufacturers in production containing welding in order to determine the proper quality specifications based on fusion welding method for metallic materials. It has been harmonized in its last version though its basics remain same, and it has been accepted by ISO and become a harmonized EN standard.
This standard is solely about the quality of the product that may be affected by welding or welding-related processes; and its basic rules provide guidance for determining quality specifications necessary for production containing welding at the entity or in situ, and designating welding capacity of the manufacturer who will produce in accordance with the specified quality.
The standard can be used as a basic for the evaluation of welding quality systems of the manufacturers. Additionally, welding affects the production costs and quality. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the welding is performed in the most efficient way, and to make the proper controls at each level of the process.
For production containing welding, the controls should be done by destructive or nondestructive tests, starting at design phase and continuing with materials selection, disposables selection, training of welding coordination personnel, certification of welding workers, designation of welding methods, and manufacturing.
Application of entire activities
Evaluation and acceptance (by evaluating the welding procedure, supervising welding process, evaluating the test results) of the compliance of the welding methods used in entities with the related standards.
